Headline of the Week
Women’s Golf Taking Over the State

Women's golf dominated headlines across New Jersey this week, led by the LPGA Tour's ShopRite Classic, Megha Ganne's professional debut and Katie Lu's runner-up finish in Texas.

At the ShopRite Classic in Galloway, LPGA Tour veteran Celine Boutier captured her second career ShopRite Classic title.

Holmdel native Megha Ganne, fresh off helping Stanford University win the NCAA National Championship, will make her professional debut this week at the U.S. Women's Open. Just days after graduating from Stanford, Ganne heads directly to her fifth U.S. Women's Open appearance and first as a professional after previously competing four times as an amateur.

Meanwhile, 2022 New Jersey Women's Amateur champion Katie Lu finished runner-up at the Destination Grapevine Texas Women's Open at Grapevine Golf Course. Lu graduated from Michigan State University in 2025 and continues to build on a strong start to her professional career.
