Apply for a 2027-28 Scholarship

GENERAL INFORMATION
The New Jersey Golf Caddie Scholarship is available to qualified applicants who have caddied at a participating NJ Golf club for at least two seasons. Full-time attendance as an undergraduate at an institution of higher education accredited by the U.S. Department of Education is required.

The Caddie Scholarship Foundation is accepting applications for the 2027-28 academic year until October 15, 2026. To submit an application:

Create a profile and submit your completed application.
Upload pages 1 and 2 only of your parents’ (or guardians’) 2025 Federal Income Tax Return.
If you are a high school senior, upload your current transcript indicating your cumulative Grade Point Average and your SAT or ACT score report, if taken.
If you are currently enrolled in college, upload your current college transcript indicating your cumulative Grade Point Average.

IMPORTANT: If you are applying for an NJ Golf-Evans Scholarship, you must also apply for an NJ Golf Caddie Scholarship Foundation scholarship.

SELECTION CRITERIA

The NJ Golf Caddie Scholarship Committee reviews applications based upon the following criteria:

Academic record
Financial need
Qualities of character and leadership
Club's financial support of the Foundation

You will need your manager’s email in order to submit a request to verify your employment and provide a recommendation.

Caddie Scholarship Applications

Important Dates 2026-2027:

Mid-July 2026 – First installment of scholarship sent to colleges and universities for 2026-27 academic year
July 15, 2026 - Application period opens for 2027-2028 academic year
October 15, 2026 – Application due date for 2027-2028 academic year
Mid-December 2026 – Second installment of scholarship sent to colleges and universities for 2026-27 academic year
March 2027 – Applications under Committee Review
April 2027 – Award letters sent electronically
May 31, 2027 – Scholarship Acceptance Agreement completed and submitted via portal
June 15, 2027 – Thank you note and headshot uploaded to portal
June 23, 2027 – Scholars’ Banquet at Galloping Hill Golf Course
July 13, 2027 – Leadership Summit at Galloping Hill Golf Course

NJ Golf Evans Scholars Foundation Application Information
Since 2021 the NJ Golf Caddie Scholarship Foundation has partnered with the Western Golf Association’s Evans Scholars Foundation to provide full tuition and housing scholarships to caddies from New Jersey who meet the requirements set by the Evans Scholars Foundation. Additionally, NJ Golf-Evans Scholars current attend such prestigious universities as Howard University, Miami University of Ohio, Michigan State University, Rutgers University, University of Delaware, University of Maryland, University of Notre Dame, and University of South Carolina
