New Jersey Golf’s “Wednesday Roundup” will run weekly through the 2026 golf season. This weekly news summary will feature local stories and news from throughout the Garden State. Competitive Golf 

  • New Jersey natives Chris Gotterup and Max Greyserman tee off on Thursday, June 18 at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club for the U.S. Open Championship. Gotterup, the No. 11 player in the world, tees off at 7:30 a.m. alongside Brooks Koepka and Cameron Young. Greyserman, who finished T-14th in the PGA Championship, tees off at 8:14 a.m. with Brian Harman and Jacob Bridgeman. (Learn More)

  • Manasquan River Golf Club’s Jeremy Wall, Medford Lakes Country Club’s Jack Irons and Little Mill Country Club’s Troy Vannucci qualified for the Round of 32 in the BMW Philadelphia Amateur Championship. Vannucci advanced to the semifinals, which are conducted today. (Learn More

  • Michael Stamberger of Manasquan River Golf Club qualified for the 46th U.S. Senior Open after shooting a 1-under-par 69 at Manor Country Club in Rockville, Maryland. (Learn More)

  • Jim McGovern of White Beeches Golf & Country Club won the 32nd Dunning Head Pro Championship, firing a 1-over through two rounds at Somerset Hills Country Club in Bernardsville on Monday, June 15. (Learn More)

  • The 24th Women’s Met Amateur Championship takes place June 22nd & 23rd at Wykagyl Country Club in New Rochelle, New York, where multiple New Jersey golfers will compete. (Learn More

Junior Golf 

  • NJ.com released its 2026 Boys and Girls Golf End-of-Year awards on Tuesday, June 15. The awards include Boys and Girls Player of the Year, Golf Team of the Year, Coach of the Year, All-State teams and All-Group teams. Among those awarded, Rory Asselta and St. Joseph (Mont.) took home the Boys Player and Golf Team of the Year awards. Angela Liang of Pingry was named the Girls Player of the Year and Moorestown High School won the Girls Golf Team of the Year (Learn More

  • The Metropolitan Golf Writers Association is hosting its 73rd National Awards Dinner on Tuesday, October 6th at the Mountain Ridge Country Club. This is the first time the dinner is being held in New Jersey since its inception in 1953. (Learn More
