New Jersey Golf’s “Wednesday Roundup” will run weekly through the 2025 golf season. This weekly news summary will feature local stories and news from throughout the Garden State. - 2019 New Jersey Open Champion Chris Gotterup won the Genesis Scottish Open on Sunday, July 13, with a 15-under par score (68-61-70-66, 265). The win marks the Rutgers University alum’s second victory on the PGA Tour, next to the 2024 Myrtle Beach Classic. Outlasting Rory McIlroy in the final round, Gotterup earned a trip to the 153rd British Open at the Royal Portrush from July 13-20, as well as the 2026 Masters Tournament scheduled for April 9-12 next year. - The eight-man team from Baltusrol Golf Club combined for a team total of 267, two shots better than Arcola Country Club to win the 2025 Hoffman Cup at Hollywood Golf Club on Sunday, July 13. (Click for more)
- Vidhi Lakhawala, of Kendall Park, N.J., and Rayee Feng and Aphrodite Deng of Short Hills, N.J., helped lead the East Team to their fourteenth Wyndham Cup victory at the at the 35th edition of the AJGA tournament on July 10. (Click for more)
- Scouting America’s Northern New Jersey Council invites you to participate in their annual Three Rivers District Classic & Dinner on Sept. 16 at White Beeches Country Club in Haworth, N.J. - Registration for the 2025 Lenape Football Golf Outing is now open. The outing will be held in support for the non-profit Lenape Football Pride Club at Ramblewood Country Club in Mount Laurel, NJ on Aug. 15. (Click for more)
- Shore Saves, a volunteer-run dog rescue, is hosting their 4th Annual Shore Saves Charity Golf Outing at Pebble Creek Golf Club in Colts Neck, N.J. on Aug. 18. All proceeds will go directly towards rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming dogs in need. (Click for more)
- The New Jersey Golf Foundation (NJGF), the charitable arm of the New Jersey Section, PGA of America (NJPGA), announced Teegan Linke (Jamesburg) and Luke Krombholz (Metuchen) as the 2025 recipients of the prestigious Peter Famiano Memorial Scholarship. (Click for more)
- The USGA announced that The Ridgewood Country Club, in Paramus, N.J., is set to host three upcoming USGA championships: the 2030 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball, the 2035 U.S. Junior Amateur and the 2042 U.S. Amateur Championships. (Click for more)
- Galloping Hill Golf Course will host the First Stage of the 2025 PGA Tour Q-School from Oct. 14-17. The event serves as a qualification tournament for golfers aiming to gain full or partial membership on the PGA Tour. Registration is now open. (Click for more)
