Wednesday Roundup - April 2, 2025

New Jersey Golf’s “Wednesday Roundup” will run weekly through the 2025 golf season. This weekly news summary will feature local stories and news from throughout the Garden State.   • U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship co-hosts Plainfield Country Club and Echo Lake Country Club are now recruiting volunteers to help execute the championship, which will run from May 17-21, 2025. Volunteers who complete three shifts will also be invited to play golf (complimentary green fees) at one of the co-host sites later this year. (Click for more)  

  • Tee times are out for the (ANWA) Augusta National Women’s Amateur as Holmdel native Megha Ganne (Stanford) will tee off at 8:12 a.m. ET and 2024 New Jersey Women’s Amateur Champion Katie Li (Duke) will tee off at 10:07 a.m. ET on Wednesday, April 2.   • The Heroes Tour is a new golf tour exclusively for veterans, active military, law enforcement, firefighters and EMTS. It is a fun and social golf tour with a bit of competition involved. The membership fee is $75, which includes a USGA GHIN handicap as well as a tee gift for joining. All tournament pricing includes cart, greens fee and range access. The Heroes Tour accepts players of all skill levels and each tournament will have a gross and net division. There will be opportunities to play in team events such as a two-man team scramble or foursome scramble. (Click for more

  • The New Jersey Golf Foundation and the New Jersey Golf Youth Foundation are joining together to host a charity auction with all the proceeds benefiting the two organizations. The online auction, which is now available for bidding and comes to a conclusion on April 30, features foursomes at over 60 golf courses around the Garden State. (Click for more)

  • Essex County Golf Courses were featured in Golf Course Industry for their $20M investment to revitalize the three county courses. (Click for more)

  • The First Tee of Raritan Valley is seeking a LPGA*USGA Girls Golf Coordinator for the 2025 season. The individual would lead and manage our Girls Program out of Rutgers University Golf Course in Piscataway, NJ. (Click for more

  • The First Tee of the Jersey Shore is seeking part-time paid and volunteer coaches for the 2025 season. (Click for more

  • The TJ Dimarco Golf Outing will take place September 23 at Old Bridge Golf Course – The Rose. Proceeds will support the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Association (HCMA) in advancing research and providing resources to families. (Click for more)  

  • On Monday, April 28, the Farleigh Dickinson Sport Management Program is hosting their 2nd Annual Golf Outing at Galloping Hill Golf Course. All proceeds benefit the Sport Management Program and student learning at FDU. (Click for more
