The LPGA Returns to the Jersey Shore
GALLOWAY, N.J. - The LPGA Tour returns to the Jersey Shore next week as the ShopRite LPGA powered by Wakefern heads back to Seaview Hotel and Golf Club in Galloway for another showcase of the game’s best players.
Now in its 38th year, the championship has become one of the most recognizable stops on the LPGA calendar and one of the longest-running professional sporting events in Atlantic City. From May 29-31, a field of 144 players will compete on Seaview’s historic Bay Course for a share of a $2 million purse.
Played over 54 holes along the windswept Jersey Shore, the ShopRite LPGA has built a reputation for producing dramatic finishes and low scores. Jennifer Kupcho returns as the defending champion after capturing the 2025 title at 15-under-par, while past champions like Brooke Henderson, Ashleigh Buhai, Linnea Ström and Lexi Thompson have all lifted the trophy at Seaview in recent years.
The Bay Course itself is one of New Jersey’s most historic championship venues. Originally designed by Hugh Wilson and Donald Ross in the early 1900s, Seaview previously hosted the 1942 PGA Championship won by Sam Snead and continues to challenge players with coastal winds, small greens and strategic bunkering.
This year’s field is once again expected to feature many of the biggest names in women’s golf, including major champions, rising stars and international standouts. The event’s intimate atmosphere and fan-friendly setting have helped make it one of the most popular annual stops on the LPGA Tour.
For New Jersey golf fans, the week represents another opportunity to watch the world’s best compete right here in the Garden State, continuing a tradition that has become synonymous with championship golf at the Shore. Tickets can be purchased here.
