The matches between each association’s top amateurs were hard-fought, as each team was within a point of each other prior to the afternoon singles. The duos of Clifford Lindholm and Pat Wilson and Reed Greyserman and John Havay won both of their respective alternate shot matches, earning Team New Jersey four of the six morning points. Westchester sat just behind New Jersey with 5.5 points while Long Island narrowly led with 6.5 points.

The afternoon belonged to New Jersey Golf, which took control during the singles matches. The team earned 18 points in the afternoon session to finish with 24 total points, comfortably ahead of Long Island Golf Association (15.5) and Westchester Golf Association (14.5). Five of New Jersey's 12 team members swept both of their singles matches, led by Cody Cox, who posted a 3-and-2 victory over Long Island and a 5-and-4 win against Westchester.

The Stoddard was first held in 1922 and is a highly coveted competition amongst amateurs. New Jersey Golf defended its title, winning in 2024, 2025 and now in 2026, adding to its collection of successes in this tournament.
