Erin Hills Awaits: Feng and Lee Punch Tickets to U.S. Women’s Open

ORADELL, N.J. - Despite the rainy, chilly conditions at Hackensack Golf Club, 36-hole qualifying for the 80th U.S. Women’s Open Championship presented by Ally pressed on. New Jersey’s Rayee Feng and professional Jeongeun Lee rose above the challenging weather and competitive field, each carding a 3-under-par 141 on the 6,266-yard course to punch their tickets to Erin Hills."

Feng, the 2024 New Jersey Women’s Open champion, is set to make her debut in the U.S. Women’s Open. Playing without knowledge of her position on the leaderboard, she posted an even-par 72 in the morning round, then followed it up with an impressive 3-under 68 in the afternoon.

“It’s so amazing,” Feng described following the qualifier. “I did not expect this at all. I didn't want to look at the leaderboard because I feel like that would have messed with mental game. I didn't even know until the last hole when my dad kept trying to tell me to be aggressive. I was like, am I not making it? Am I like on the edge? He told me he didn’t know. This is amazing, and I'm so happy to have this opportunity.”

In the alternate positions were Kumkang Park (First Alternate) and Maude Leblanc (Second Alternate).
