New Jersey Golf’s “Wednesday Roundup” will run weekly through the 2026 golf season. This weekly news summary will feature local stories and news from throughout the Garden State. Competitive Golf

  • Bill Hook, head golf professional at Knickerbocker Country Club, won the 99th New Jersey PGA Professional Championship last week at Plainfield Country Club. Hook fired a final-round 7-under-par 65 to hoist the trophy. (Learn More)

  • The Crump Cup at Pine Valley Golf Club wrapped up over the weekend, with Stewart Hagestad claiming the title. Troy Vannucci advanced to the Round of 16 in the Championship Flight, while Jamie Slonis competed in the Senior Division.

  • Davis Weil won the 2026 Eagle Oaks Invitational on Sept. 17, posting a two-round total of 6-under par. Mike Guli won the Senior Division at 3-over par. (Learn More)

  • Tyler McArdell defeated Dave Vazquez, 1 up, in the final match to win the 25th Assistant Match Play Championship at Madison Golf Club.

  • The U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship gets underway this weekend in Wisconsin, where Troy Vannucci will compete. (Learn More)

  • The U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur gets underway this weekend in Oregon, where New Jersey natives Adrienne MacLean and Maricel Gorczynski will compete. (Learn More)

  • The PURE Insurance Championship Impacting First Tee brought together First Tee participants, PGA TOUR Champions players and amateurs for a week of mentorship and competition at Pebble Beach. Several New Jersey competitors participated, including Nyah Roccamonte-Clark, Alex Dumontier, Ben Martorana and Savannah Laverty. (Learn More)

Junior Golf

  • Youth on Course members will have additional ways to stay connected to the game this fall. The organization’s pilot program with Topgolf has been extended through Oct. 31, giving Youth on Course members and alumni access Monday through Thursday from opening until 5 p.m. Youth on Course has also expanded its partnership with DICK’S Sporting Goods, Golf Galaxy and DICK’S House of Sport, offering members $5 simulator rentals at participating locations, a complimentary lesson with a PGA Teaching Professional at select locations and access to special in-store events for young golfers. NJ Golf Community

  • The Who’s Your Caddie Golf Tournament will take place Oct. 19 at Weequahic Golf Course, bringing golfers, caddies, clubs, businesses and the community together to support organizations creating opportunities for education and access through golf. (Learn More)

  • Montclair Indoor Golf Club will host its five-week MIGC Fall League from Nov. 1 through Dec. 12, featuring weekly nine-hole rounds on Trackman courses and a live finale for the top four players.   • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Coastal and Northern New Jersey will host the 6th Annual Big Shots Golf Classic on Oct. 5 at Fairmount Country Club. The outing supports the organization’s one-to-one mentoring programs. (Learn More)

  • The Wyckoff Family YMCA will host the Mike O’Shea Charitable Golf Classic on Oct. 1 at Arcola Country Club. The outing supports the Wyckoff Y Cares Fund, which provides financial assistance to individuals and families in the community. Foursomes and sponsorship opportunities are available. (Learn More)

  • The Princeton-Blairstown Center will host its annual Links to Youth Golf Outing on Oct. 1 at the newly renovated Royce Brook Golf Club in Hillsborough. The outing supports the organization’s adventure-based, social-emotional learning programs for young people. (Learn More)

  • The Flintlock Barrel Society One Step Closer Animal Rescue Annual Golf Outing will be held Oct. 5 at Picatinny Golf Club. The event benefits One Step Closer Animal Rescue (O.S.C.A.R.), a Sparta-based nonprofit dedicated to rescuing dogs from overcrowded shelters and helping them find permanent homes. (Learn More)
