Brendan Davis and Derek Lemley won the Assistant Birdie Bash at Springdale Golf Club on October 5. The event raised funds for the New Jersey Golf Foundation. (Learn More)

Jason Seidman (232) won the Amateur Division, Dominic Cerritos (240) claimed the Senior Division and Richard Cupparo (237) captured the Super Senior Division at the 2026 Essex County Golf Tournament. The three-round event was contested at Weequahic Golf Course, Francis Byrne Golf Course and Hendricks Field Golf Course, with Saturday’s championship round held at Hendricks Field. (Learn More)

The Rutgers men’s golf team posted the low team round of the final day and climbed two spots to finish second at the Hamptons Intercollegiate on Tuesday at Maidstone Club. (Learn More)

Seton Hall men’s golf captured the Nemacolin Collegiate Invitational at Mystic Rock, firing a final-round 9-under 279 to edge Eastern Michigan by one stroke. Will Hennessee shared the individual title at 5-under after a birdie on the 18th, while New Jersey natives Isaiah Williams (Flemington) and Jacob De Jesus (Bridgewater) also competed for the Pirates. The USGA unveiled the next iteration of the GHIN mobile app presented by Sentry, featuring a refreshed design and new features. The updated experience includes more streamlined navigation while keeping score posting front and center. (Learn More)

Youth on Course members will have additional ways to stay connected to the game this fall. The organization’s pilot program with Topgolf has been extended through Oct. 31, giving Youth on Course members and alumni access Monday through Thursday from opening until 5 p.m. Youth on Course has also expanded its partnership with DICK’S Sporting Goods, Golf Galaxy and DICK’S House of Sport, offering members $5 simulator rentals at participating locations, a complimentary lesson with a PGA Teaching Professional at select locations and access to special in-store events for young golfers.

The Scholarship Fund for Inner-City Children will host its annual Golf Outing on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at Canoe Brook Country Club in Summit. Proceeds provide partial tuition scholarships for students from financially struggling families in Bergen, Essex, Hudson and Union counties. (Learn More)

The inaugural Heartline Classic is set for Monday, Oct. 19 at Cedar Hill Golf & Country Club in Livingston. The nine-hole charity outing benefits Center for the Heart and its work supporting individuals and families navigating Alzheimer’s and dementia, caregiving, serious illness, end-of-life transitions and grief.
