Wednesday Roundup - October 22, 2025

New Jersey Golf’s “Wednesday Roundup” runs weekly through the 2025 golf season. Today's roundup (October 22) will be the final weekly edition for the 2025 season. For the months November through March, the Wednesday Roundup will run monthly. It will continue to feature local stories and news from throughout the Garden State.   • The annual Celebration of Golf conducted jointly by NJ Golf and the NJ PGA Section will be held on Thursday, October 30 at 6:00 p.m. at Canoe Brook Country Club in Summit. Tickets are now available; click here to purchase. Brigid Shanley Lamb will be honored with the NJ PGA / NJ Golf Distinguished Service Award that evening.
  • First-Stage Qualifying for the Korn Ferry Tour at Galloping Hill Golf Course concluded last Friday, October 17. A total of 18 players advanced; David Pastore of Stamford, Conn. and Braden Shattuck of Chadds Ford, Pa., were co-medalists at 17-under par for the four-round event. For full scoring, click here.
  • The Player of the Year races for NJ Golf are nearing a conclusion, and this year's winners will also be honored at the Celebration of Golf on Thursday, October 30 at Canoe Brook. Defending POY Troy Vannucci of Little Mill has taken a 30 point lead over Dean Greyserman of Hamilton Farm while Grace Lu of Plainfield West holds a commanding lead in the women's standings. In the Junior Girls' category, there is a three-way tie between Megan Meng of Mountainview, Vaidehi Shah of NJ Golf E-Club, and Sarah Shao of Royce Brook. Nick Desai of Baltusrol leads the Men's Senior race, while Henry Bolster leads for the Junior Boys. Click here for full details.
