Headline of the Week

Ganne Earns First Epson Tour Victory at Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic

Megha Ganne earned the first professional victory of her career on Sunday, capturing the 2026 Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic in a two-hole playoff to cap her rookie season on the Epson Tour.

Ganne emerged from a playoff against Cholcheva Wongras to secure the title and add another milestone to her first season as a professional. The Holmdel, N.J. native turned professional earlier this year following a decorated collegiate career at Stanford. (Learn More)

Competitive Golf

  • 2026 New Jersey Women’s Open Champion Katie Lu will compete on the LPGA Tour this week at the FM Championship at TPC Boston after receiving a sponsor invitation into the field. (Learn More)

  • Aphrodite Deng is coming off a T-7 finish at the CPKC Women’s Open on the LPGA Tour and will also compete in this week’s FM Championship. (Learn More)

  • Edmund Broderick of Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club won the 47th NJPGA Assistant Championship at Canoe Brook Country Club on August 24. (Learn More)

  • Five NJPGA Assistant Professionals — Rhett Sellers, Will Halamandaris, Johnny Bush, Jeff Maines and Tyler McArdell — will compete in the 50th Assistant PGA Professional Championship, November 12-15 in Port St. Lucie, Fla. (Learn More)

  • Troy Vannucci and Anthony Brodeur have qualified for the 2026 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship. (Learn More)

Junior & High School Golf

  • Several of the region’s top boys and girls competed in the AJGA K.J. Choi Foundation Junior Championship at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club last week. (Learn More)

  • The Rutgers men’s golf team is set to host the inaugural New York Harbor Cup, a 54-hole stroke-play event running August 29 through September 1 at Bayonne Golf Club in Bayonne, N.J. (Learn More)
