Wednesday Roundup - April 16, 2025

New Jersey Golf’s “Wednesday Roundup” will run weekly through the 2025 golf season. This weekly news summary will feature local stories and news from throughout the Garden State. If your organization or club has announcements to share, please email rcorzo@njgolf.org with “Wednesday Roundup” in the subject line.    

  • U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship co-hosts Plainfield Country Club and Echo Lake Country Club are now recruiting volunteers to help execute the championship, which will run from May 17-21, 2025. Volunteers who complete three shifts will also be invited to play golf (complimentary green fees) at one of the co-host sites later this year. (Click for more)  

  • NCAA DI Conference Championships: The ACC Women's Golf Championships are underway with two New Jersey golfers represented: Katie Li (Duke) and Megha Ganne (Stanford) - Follow Along. At the SEC Championships, Angelina Tolentino (Vanderbilt) and Brooke Oberparleiter (Kentucky) are competing – Follow Along 

  • Cole Ekert (Richmond) notched a top-25 finish in the Tar Heel Intercollegiate. (Click for more

  • Jackson Bodony of Southern Regional won the 52nd Ocean County Tournament, shooting a 1-under 71 at Charleston Springs Golf Course. (Click for more

  • Bidding is open for the First Tee of Jersey Shore Swing into Spring online charity auction. Help support First Tee kids and families and bid on exclusive foursomes/threesomes of golf, event tickets, private golf lessons with PGA professionals, fine dining, and more. (Click for more

  • The Heroes Tour is a new golf tour exclusively for veterans, active military, law enforcement, firefighters and EMTS. It is a fun and social golf tour with a bit of competition involved. The membership fee is $75, which includes a USGA GHIN handicap as well as a tee gift for joining. All tournament pricing includes cart, greens fee and range access. The Heroes Tour accepts players of all skill levels and each tournament will have a gross and net division. There will be opportunities to play in team events such as a two-man team scramble or foursome scramble. (Click for more

  • The Arc of Essex County is hosting their Swing into Spring Golf Invitational on May 12 at Shackamaxon Country Club. The Mission of The Arc of Union County is to empower and support people with developmental disabilities and their families. We will engage individuals we serve, their families, public, and private entities to ensure that all people with developmental disabilities associated with this organization realize a full, productive, and enhanced life.   • The Community Medical Center Foundation is hosting the 2025 Robert H. Ogle Golf Invitational at Metedeconk National Golf Club on July 21, 2025. (Click for more

  • The Legacy Club is hosting a Members-Only Opening Day Tournament on April 26, supporting Autism Awareness. Net proceeds from Tee and Hole Sponsors will benefit Kingsway Learning Center & Services in Voorhees, NJ. (Click for more

  • Habitat SCNJ is hosting their annual Home In One Golf Tournament on Monday, May 19, 2025 at The Legacy Club. The outing will raise funds for much-needed affordable housing projects and highlight our most recent expanded service area of Camden County (Click for more

  • The TJ Dimarco Golf Outing will take place September 23 at Old Bridge Golf Course – The Rose. Proceeds will support the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Association (HCMA) in advancing research and providing resources to families. (Click for more)  

  • On Monday, April 28, the Farleigh Dickinson Sport Management Program is hosting their 2nd Annual Golf Outing at Galloping Hill Golf Course. All proceeds benefit the Sport Management Program and student learning at FDU. (Click for more
