New Jersey Golf’s “Wednesday Roundup” will run weekly through the 2026 golf season. This weekly news summary will feature local stories and news from throughout the Garden State. Competitive Golf 

• The 2026 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship is underway at The Honors Club in Ooltewah, Tennessee. Six players from New Jersey - Ysabel Liu, Sarah Shao, Rayee Feng, Grace Lu, Katie Li, and Aphrodite Deng are playing from Tuesday, August 4 to August 9. (Learn More) 

• Rayhao Feng, 16, won the Boys Division of the 24th Carter Cup with a 4-under-par gross total on Tuesday, August 4, at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, New Jersey. Feng of Short Hills, New Jersey, used a clutch eagle on the lower course’s 550-yard 17th hole to fend off the competition and complete a 5-under-par 66 round two score to secure the championship. (Learn More) 

• Three New Jersey Golfers were invited to play in the Girls Division of the 24th Carter Cup. Martinsville native Anna Park, Tenafly native Jessica Kim and Fort Lee native Sharon Kim each played at Baltusrol during the two-round event on Tuesday, August 4. (Learn More) 

• Barnes Blake and Drue Nicholas will compete in the 2026 U.S. Men’s Amateur Championship from August 10 to August 16 at Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Country Club in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania. (Learn More) 

• Nick Desai qualified for the 71st U.S. Senior Amateur after medaling with a 2-under-par 69 at Talamore Country Club in Ambler, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, July 29. Desai will travel to Baltimore Country Club in Lutherville, Maryland in a few weeks to compete in the U.S. Senior Amateur Championship. (Learn More)

• Registration for the 2026 Capital Cup at Trenton Country Club is now open. The 2026 Capital Cup will take place on Thursday, October 8th, 2026, with potential earnings surpassing $1,000. (Learn More) 

• Childhood Cancer Society is hosting its first annual Adventure Ted Tees Off golf outing on Monday, August 31st at Trump National Golf Club Colts Neck. The day will feature the wish grant reveal for Liam, an 8-year-old First Tee golfer from Edison who is battling leukemia. (Learn More) 

• The Heroes Tour provides competitive golf opportunities for active military personnel, veterans and first responders (firefighters, law enforcement, paramedics & EMTs). All skill levels are welcome. Tournaments feature a gross and net division. (Learn More) 

• Autism Speaks is hosting its 17th Annual Fall Classic on Monday, September 28th at Baltusrol Golf Club. (Learn More) 

• The Metropolitan Golf Writers Association is hosting its 73rd National Awards Dinner on Tuesday, October 6th at the Mountain Ridge Country Club. This is the first time the dinner is being held in New Jersey since its inception in 1953. (Learn More)

• United States Golf Association (USGA) announced its 2026 U.S. National Development Program (USNDP) Grant Program athletes. In total, 124 athletes representing 32 states and ranging in age from 13-18 will receive more than $1.1 million in financial assistance. (Learn More)
