Trump National – Bedminster captured the Adrian M. “Bud” Foley Cup for the third time in the last four years, adding the 2026 title to victories in 2023 and 2024.

“We didn't think we were going to win because that was a tough course,” said Terry Conley, captain of the Trump National – Bedminster team. “The greens were tough. Those pin placements were not easy. It's a course that if you didn’t know it, you could spray it a little bit. I'm really proud of the guys. Everybody hung in there and did a great job.”

Michael Guli and AJ Karanikolas led the way for Trump National – Bedminster, combining for a 1-under-par 70 to help their team finish level with Little Mill at the end of play.

With the championship tied, the title was decided using the Senior Interclub tiebreaking procedure. The highest score from each team was eliminated and the remaining scores were re-totaled, with Trump National – Bedminster ultimately earning the edge to secure the championship.

Little Mill narrowly missed out on its second Senior Interclub title. The club won the championship in 2020 and has now finished runner-up three times in the last four years, doing so in 2023, 2025 and 2026.

The Senior Interclub Championship is contested in a four-ball stroke-play format and concludes six weeks of competition throughout the state. During section play, four teams compete against one another to determine a section winner, with the advancing squads earning a spot in the championship.

“It's not easy to win,” Conley added. “You have all these different weather conditions and we're seniors, so who's got a backache and who doesn't. This isn’t easy to win. We understand that, so we don't take that for granted.”

The winning team receives the Adrian M. “Bud” Foley Cup, named in honor of the former New Jersey State Golf Association president. The Senior Interclub program provides players an opportunity to visit new courses, build camaraderie and enjoy competitive golf throughout the season before culminating with the championship for the section-winning teams.
