Qualifying: 42nd New Jersey Mid-Amateur Championship

KENILWORTH, N.J. - The New Jersey golf season is in full swing as attention turns to the 42nd NJ Mid-Amateur Championship, set for June 3–5 at Morris County Golf Club. Located in Morristown, this classic venue offers a demanding yet fair test of golf, marked by its strategic layout and timeless charm. Founded in 1894, Morris County has long held a reputation for excellence, with its well-conditioned fairways and fast, undulating greens challenging even the most seasoned mid-amateur players. As qualifying rounds get underway across the state, competitors are preparing for what promises to be a true championship experience at one of New Jersey’s most respected clubs.
Four qualifying rounds for the 42nd New Jersey Mid-Amateur Championship will take place throughout May.
Monday, May 5, Panther Valley G&CC
In the first qualifier for the 42nd Mid-Amateur Championship, 12 individuals advanced after an 18 hole qualifying round at Panther Valley G&CC. Competitors that turned in a round of 5-over par or better advanced to the championship proper, while Thomas Lee earned medalist honors, shooting an even par 71.
Wednesday, May 7, TPC Jasna Polana
19 players are moving on to Morris County Golf Club following an 18-hole qualifying round at TPC Jasna Polana. Those who finsihed at 3-over par or better advanced to the 42nd Mid-Amateur Championship, while Danny Mayrose earned medalist honors, shooting 1-under par 71.
