Qualifying: 105th New Jersey Open Championship Presented by Donnelly Industries

KENILWORTH, N.J. - The 105th New Jersey Open Championship presented by Donnelly Industries will take place at Hamilton Farm Golf Club from July 22-24. Hosting its first New Jersey Open Championship, Hamilton Farm will be a tough test for both amateur and professional golfers from around the Garden State. Equipped for long hitters, Hamilton Farm has made adjustments to their tee boxes, adding significant length to the course over the last several years. 

Qualifying for the 105th Open Championship will take place at six sites throughout May and June.

Thursday, May 29, Rossmoor Golf Course 
In the first qualifier for the 105th Open Championship, seven individuals advanced after an 18 hole qualifying round at Rossmoor Golf Course in Monroe Township. Players that turned in a round of 1-under par or better advanced to the championship, while amateur Liam Pasternak of Essex Fells Country Club earned medalist honors with a 4-under par 67.

Saturday, May 31, Galloping Hill Golf Course
Besting the field by two strokes, John Meyers turned in a 3-under par 66 to earn medalist honors in the 18 hole qualifying round at Galloping Hill Golf Course. Meyers and five more competitors advanced to the 105th Open Championship, shooting scores of 1-over par or better.

Monday, June 9, Hawk Pointe Golf Club 
Conor Bekefi, Jacob Dejesus, and Robert Fenton carded a 3-under par 69 to earn co-medalist honors in the 18 hole qualifying round at Hawk Pointe Golf Club. Eleven individuals who finished even par 72 or better advanced to the 105th Open Championship during the third qualifying round.

Thursday, June 12, Francis A. Byrne Golf Course 
Brent Fredericksen of Rockaway River Country Club shot a 3-under par 67 to earn medalist honors at Francis A. Byrne Golf Club during the fourth qualifier for the New Jersey Open Championship. Eight individuals who finished 3-over par 73, or better, advanced to the 105th edition of the competition.

Monday, June 16, Mendham Golf & Tennis Club 
Braving the cold and rain at Mendham Golf and Tennis Club, 11 players who shot even par 72 or better advanced to the 105th New Jersey Open. Tucker Sandercock of New Jersey National Golf Club fired in an impressive 5-under par 67 to earn medalist honors during Monday’s qualifier.

Tuesday, June 17, Suneagles Golf Club 
Steve Shellock, the Head Golf Professional at Suneagles Golf Club earned medalist honors during the sixth qualifier for the New Jersey Open Championship on Tuesday. Shellock fired a 4-under par 68 to lead the advancing group of eight players who shot an even par 72 or better on route to the championship set for July 22-24 at Hamilton Farm Golf Club.

Tuesday, June 24, Riverton Country Club   
In the final qualifier for the 105th New Jersey Open Championship, Doug Ergood of Tavistock Country Club turned in a 2-under par 69 to earn medalist honors. In a field of 43 players, eight individuals battled through the heat and carded a 1-over par 72 or better to advance to Hamilton Farm Golf Club.
