Provident Bank Captures 7th Corporate Golf Challenge at Mountain Ridge
WEST CALDWELL, N.J. – The team from Provident Bank captured the 7th New Jersey Golf Corporate Golf Challenge presented by Provident Bank at Mountain Ridge Country Club on October 21. Provident Bank, the Official Bank of NJ Golf, claimed their first victory in this event with 152 Stableford points as a team.
The Corporate Golf Challenge is open to teams which represent New Jersey-based companies from any business sector. All proceeds from the day benefit the NJ Golf Caddie Scholarship Foundation and the NJ Golf Youth Foundation.
“It’s a great day and a great chance for all of us to get together and compete,” said Chris Martin, Executive Chairman of Provident Bank. “The charitable aspect of this day really is an important part of the purpose behind this event”
The Provident Bank team, made up of Martin, Tony Labozzetta, Rob McKee and Chris Shagawat bested the field of 16 competing teams. Finishing just behind in second place with 149 points was Columbia Bank while Ocean Bank won a match of cards to claim the third-place spot.
The event provided a fun day of fall golf and amenities for foursomes representing a variety of New Jersey companies.
In addition to the 18-hole competition at Mountain Ridge, each team also received a gift certificate to the Mountain Ridge pro-shop, lunch before play, refreshments, a networking cocktail reception after play and awards program, all courtesy of Provident Bank.
Additionally, Dunning, the Official Apparel Partner for New Jersey Golf, provided gear to each of the participants.
