NJ Golf to Celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day February 5

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. - New Jersey Golf will celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day at Florham Park Golf Club on February 5. 

Girls will get the opportunity to learn about the importance of playing golf, as well as an interactive evening on the simulators, with putting, longest drive and closest to the pin contests.  

Since 1987, National Girls and Women in Sports Day has been a day to recognize females and female sports. In order to grow the game of golf, girls and women must be involved. 

As part of the evening, NJ Golf will offer a free membership to all females 18 and under. Benefits of an NJ Golf membership includes a GHIN number, Member Golf Days, championships, seminars, and more. Also, NJ Golf members receive New Jersey Golf Magazine, in addition to E-Links, NJ Golf's official email newsletter. 

NJ Golf offers a total of nine girls and women’s championships as well as Women’s Golf Days and a slew of member benefits. There are also plenty of local and regional golf opportunities for girls around the Metropolitan area.
