New Jersey's Ganne Paces Field at Prestigious ANWA

EVANS, Ga. - 2018 New Jersey Junior Girls' Champion and Holmdel native Megha Ganne fired a 9-under par 63 in the first round of the Augusta National Women's Amateur (ANWA) to lead the field after 18 holes. The Stanford junior shot a course record at Champions Retreat on Wednesday.

Ganne, 21, will tee off at 9:55 a.m. ET on Thursday.

2024 New Jersey Women's Amateur Champion Katie Li is also competing amongst the top amateurs in the world. Li, of Basking Ridge turned in a 5-over par 77 in the opening round. Li, a sophomore at Duke will tee off at 8:00 a.m. ET on Thursday. 

A cut will take place after 36 holes, advancing the leading 30 players and ties to the final round at Augusta National Golf Club on Saturday, April 5. 

How to Watch
The first and second rounds of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur will be broadcast live on Golf Channel (1:30-3:30 p.m. ET) from Champions Retreat Golf Club. NBC Sports will produce and broadcast three hours (Noon-3 p.m. ET) of live final-round coverage of the event at Augusta National.
