New Jersey Trio Shines at U.S. Open Championship

OAKMONT, Pa. - New Jersey natives Chris Gotterup, Max Greyserman, and Ryan McCormick made their mark at the 125th U.S. Open Championship, each advancing to the weekend at historic Oakmont Country Club. Most notably, Gotterup and Greyserman notched top-25 finishes.  

Results 

Max Greyserman, 30, recorded his best finish in a major championship this season, finishing T23. The four-time NJ Golf Champion continued to battle on the weekend, closing out with a 4-over par 74 after a gutsy performance in his third U.S. Open appearance. 

Chris Gotterup, the 2019 New Jersey Open winner, impressed in just his second U.S. Open start. Heading into the final round tied for 11th, Gotterup remained competitive through the final round, finishing T23 alongside Greyserman.  

Making his U.S. Open debut, Ryan McCormick showed resilience throughout the championship. The 2012 New Jersey Amateur Champion made the cut on the number and fought through challenging weekend conditions to finish T50 after a solid 1-over par 71 in the final round.
