New Jersey Golf Opens Applications for 2027 P.J. Boatwright Internships

KENILWORTH, N.J. –– New Jersey Golf is now accepting applications for its 2027 P.J. Boatwright Internships, offering aspiring golf industry professionals the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in tournament operations, communications, and golf administration. New Jersey Golf is seeking multiple interns across three distinct roles for the upcoming season, with applications remaining open until filled.

Established by the United States Golf Association (USGA) in 1991, the P.J. Boatwright Internship Program has helped develop the next generation of golf industry professionals for 35 years. The program provides individuals with meaningful career opportunities at Allied Golf Associations (AGAs) across the country, offering practical experience in various aspects of golf administration. Since its inception, the program has supported more than 3,700 interns, many of whom have gone on to establish successful careers in the golf industry.

In 2026, the program supported 230 interns across 55 Allied Golf Associations, representing all 50 states. Its lasting impact is reflected throughout the industry, with Boatwright alumni accounting for 39 percent of AGA staff members and 33 percent of AGA executive directors nationwide.

At New Jersey Golf, interns play an integral role in the organization's day-to-day operations, working alongside experienced staff members to support championships, member programming, and communications initiatives throughout the state. The experience provides an opportunity to develop professional skills, build industry connections, and gain firsthand knowledge of the operations of a golf association.
