Kelly Leads Senior & Super-Senior Fields at Westlake
JACKSON, N.J. – Alyson Kelly of Concordia Golf Club leads the 56th Senior Women’s Amateur Championship after 18 holes on Monday at Westlake Golf & Country Club. Kelly carded at 4-over par 75 to top the field. Kelly also paces the 36th Super-Senior leaderboard.
Kelly, who started on the par-5, 10th hole, got out to a hot start with a birdie to kick off her round. A steady front-nine played at even-par 36 capped off by a birdie on the par-4 9th hole to close out the day strong helped Kelly to top both leaderboards at Westlake.
Following just behind Kelly is Cheryl Hart of Heron Glen Golf Course who carded three birdies to finish at 6-over par, 77. On the Super-Senior side, Nancy Cole of Alpine Country Club sits just behind Hart with an 8-over par, 79. Cole, a past champion, also finds herself in second place on the Super-Senior side with Anne Conway of Little Mill Country Club and Donna Young of Springdale Golf Club just one stroke behind.
The championship will conclude on Tuesday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
