Gramigna and Slonis Weather the Wind for Senior Four-Ball Victory

WEST ORANGE, N.J. - South Jersey duo of Tom Gramigna and Jamie Slonis captured the 30th Senior Four-Ball Championship at Crestmont Country Club on May 19. The pair carded a 4-under par 68 on the 6,348-yard par 72 en route to the victory.
On an exceptionally gusty day, the Tavistock Country Club pair combined for four birdies on the day.
“We tried to give ourselves looks,” Slonis said of their game plan. “We knew it was going to be tough, and scores were going to be high because it was so windy and the greens are very tough, so we just tried to just keep the ball and score the safe spots.”
Gramigna and Slonis' performance was highlighted by a flawless, bogey-free round. The longtime friends, who have known each other since high school, finished three shots ahead of the field.
“We've known each other a long time so we know each other’s games well. We get along well and it's fun to play with each other, so it’s nice to get this done this time,” the pair added.
In the Net Division, John Driebe and Joseph Harding claimed the title with a 5-under-par 67.
