Gotterup, Greyserman Set for PGA Championship at Aronimink
NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. - Major championship golf returns to the Northeast this week as the PGA Championship heads to historic Aronimink Golf Club, with two New Jersey natives once again competing on one of golf’s biggest stages.
For Chris Gotterup and Max Greyserman, the path to this year’s championship has looked different, but both arrive as players continuing to establish themselves among the PGA TOUR’s rising names.
Gotterup, the Little Silver native and 2019 New Jersey Open champion, continues to build on a rapid rise through professional golf. After beginning his collegiate career at Rutgers University before transferring to the University of Oklahoma, Gotterup has developed into one of the TOUR’s emerging stars thanks to his power off the tee and increasingly polished all-around game.
Now a multiple-time PGA TOUR winner, Gotterup enters the week carrying momentum and confidence into a venue expected to reward aggressive play and precise ball-striking.
Greyserman’s journey has been equally impressive, though built through patience and consistency. The Short Hills native first made his mark in New Jersey golf by winning the 2014 New Jersey Open Championship before capturing the 2015 New Jersey Amateur Championship. Those early victories foreshadowed a steady climb through collegiate golf at Duke University and eventually the professional ranks.
Now firmly established on the PGA TOUR, Greyserman continues to prove himself against elite competition while returning to another major championship stage with valuable experience under his belt.
Known for its classic Donald Ross design and demanding championship setup, Aronimink will provide a stern test throughout the week. For both Gotterup and Greyserman, it also offers another opportunity to represent New Jersey golf on one of the game’s grandest stages.
How to Watch
