Golf’s Longest Day: New Jersey Golfers Chase U.S. Open Spots
KENILWORTH, N.J. – Final qualifying for the 126th U.S. Open Championship, widely known as “Golf’s Longest Day,” will take place on June 8 at sites across the United States and Canada. Competitors will face a grueling 36-hole test with hopes of earning a spot in the championship field at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, New York, June 18-21.
Fifteen golfers with New Jersey ties will be among those vying for a place in the season’s third major championship.
