Conway, who started the day five back of the lead, put together a solid round on day two to run away with the championship. Led by a stellar short game and armed with the experience she learned from the day before, Conway was able to complete the comeback.

“My short game was on point. I wrote notes after day one. I kept my yardage book and put all my notes in there and paid attention to it today,” said Conway “Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined this. I just wanted to shoot something respectful today.”

After making the turn following a one-over par, 36 on the front, Conway caught fire on the back making birdie on three of the first four holes including a hole-out from the fairway for birdie on the par-5 10th.

“Number 10 is so difficult I just happened to hole it from 40 yards away for birdie. Who would think that would happen? I was just trying to think positive and stay in the zone,” said Conway.

Following just behind Conway was Cheryl Hart of Heron Glen Golf Course who finished just four back of the lead. The Super-Senior runner-up was Westlake’s very own Kathy Bartsche.

In the Net Division, Sara Hakim of the NJ Golf E-Club finished at 9-under par, 126 for her two day total while in the Super-Senior Net Division Bartsche finished at 6-under par 136.
