Caddie Scholarship Foundation Recognizes Top Supporting Clubs

CLIFTON, N.J. - On Wednesday, September 24, the New Jersey Golf Caddie Scholarship Foundation hosted its annual Appreciation and Awards Dinner at Upper Montclair Country Club. This event recognizes the generous support the Foundation received during the previous year from the entire New Jersey golf community. It is also an evening when the Foundation expresses its sincere appreciation to its benefactors and everyone who, through the gifts of their time, talent, and treasure, ensure that the Foundation will continue to provide scholarships to qualified and deserving member club caddies pursuing higher education.
Brian Hunt, Chairman of the Caddie Scholarship Foundation, recognized the top participating and the top contributing clubs. Not only have the memberships at these clubs made remarkable financial contributions to the Foundation, but they are also deeply committed to preserving and promoting youth caddying. Year after year the generosity of the New Jersey golf community continues to show boundless limits, as clubs, individuals, corporations, and foundation contributed over $1.2 million in 2024, which enabled the Foundation to provide a record-breaking $1,066,500 in scholarships ranging from $4,000 to $10,000 to 198 Caddie Scholars attending over 100 colleges and universities for the 2025-2026 academic year.
The top 5 clubs by number of Par Club donations (gifts of $100 or more) for 2024 are:
- Baltusrol – 1,200
- Manasquan River – 569
- Echo Lake – 565
- Ridgewood – 563
- Morris County & Upper Montclair – 492
The top 5 clubs by total donations for 2024 are:

Canoe Brook Country Club was honored as the Foundation’s Club of the Year and was inducted into the Foundation’s Diamond Society. Clubs inducted into the Diamond Society have contributed $1 million since the Foundation’s 50th anniversary in 1997. Since 1997, Canoe Brook’s membership has contributed over $1,015,000 to the Foundation, which has awarded scholarships to 86 of the club’s caddies. The Foundation is deeply appreciative of the long-standing, generous support it has received from Canoe Brook and its membership’s deep commitment to “keep the caddie in golf.”
