Active Score Posting Season Begins April 1

KENILWORTH, N.J. - Active score posting season in New Jersey for the 2025 season begins on Tuesday, April 1.

This means that NJ Golf members who play rounds of golf in New Jersey can, and should, post scores using the GHIN Mobile App beginning Tuesday.

How to Get Started with a Handicap Index

Whether you’re looking to improve and lower your number, play more rounds, or try more courses for the first time, a Handicap Index enables you to keep track of your golf experiences. By joining the NJ Golf E-Club or the USGA/NJ GC, members can take their enjoyment of golf to the next level. As well as an official GHIN Handicap, golfers of all ages and abilities are invited to participate in NJ Golf events, including Member Golf Days, Championships, networking and educational programs. Golfers are also eligible for special NJ Golf member opportunities and discounts through our various travel, equipment and other promotions.

3 Ways a Handicap Index® Can Enhance Your Golf Experience this Season

The USGA and The R&A have jointly introduced several major changes to the World Handicap System™ in 2024. The changes predominantly focus on making more rounds of golf count towards a Handicap Index®.

Three Key Changes:
Shorter courses are now eligible for an official course rating
10-17 holes rounds can be posted with the use of expected Score Differential™
9-hole scores no longer require another 9-hole score to be paired with in order to count towards your Handicap Index
